Trauma for Youth & Young Adults

Has anyone ever talked to you about trauma? Trauma impacts every single person in some way or another. Often, adults do not discuss trauma, it's impact throughout the lifespan, and how to support oneself or a friend with youth and young adults. This training speaks directly to youth and young adults about the difficult topic of trauma in a way that is easily understood, in a plain language, and in a supportive, safe environment. Dialogue and discussion are encouraged to promote as much learning as possible! Certificate of participation is provided.

Learning Objectives:

• What is trauma?
• How can unresolved trauma impact you now?
• How can unresolved trauma impact you as an adult?
• What can a person do to resolve their trauma?
• How can you help a friend who may be struggling?

*We suggest if you are attending this training as a staff person, have a youth and young adult peer sign up with you.  This training is geared toward youth and young adult peers between the ages of 16-29.  Certificates of participation will be provided upon completion of this training. *
